Is Internet Explorer exceptionally slow or does it tend to crash at random times?
There may be too many "Temporary Internet Files".
Internet Explorer keeps copies of the text and images you see on your screen so that it can redisplay them
quickly if you return to the page later. These are called "Temporary Internet Files" because it will
eventually delete them.
If there are too many files, IE can become slow or unstable. The solution is to periodically delete
them yourself:
Click on the View menu and then on Options (or Internet Options).
In newer versions of IE, there's a box named "Temporary Internet Files" which has a "Delete Files" button.
Click on the button and then click on OK to remove the files. Then click on OK to close the Options box.
In older versions of IE, you'll need to click on the "Advanced" tab, then click on the "Settings" button
and then click on the "Remove Files" button. Click on OK to remove the files and then click on OK to close the Options box.
