ScholarshipLittle Star is dedicated to providing affordable education to all families in the Methow Valley. We raise funds specifically to assist families in financial need. Approximately 33% of our applicants receive scholarships. If you feel you need financial assistance, here are the steps to take: Fill out a SSS (School and Student Service) financial aid form. These forms are available now and are due back in the office by February 27th. There is a processing fee of $24.00 for one child and $13.00 for each additional school. We use the SSS service because it is an unbiased way to determine the needs of our families. 1. Provide the school with copies of the previous years taxes and W-2 forms. 2. Parents are notified of their scholarship amount in May. Our scholarships are available for our Toddler, Preschool and Kinder programs. If you have any questions or need assistance in filling out the forms, please feel free to contact Trudi Garing at 509-996-2801. **All information is kept strictly confidential** Scholarship applications are now available for the 2008 -2009 academic year. You may obtain an application from the Little Star office. Completed applications should be returned to the office no later than February 27th. | |
